Checksum of MySQL tables on different servers

Sometimes we as DB Admin need to checksum the content of the tables even if they are not in a master and slave replication chain. One of the cases can be if we want to perform a data sanity check after the creation of a new database from a backup of another and we want to know if the content is the same.
